Is there a change in the test format for IELTS on computer?

No.The questioning pattern, format, level of difficulty and scoring remains the same as paper-based IELTS. You take Listening, Reading, and Writing tests on a computer and the Speaking test face-to-face by a certified IELTS examiner in a quiet room.

The timings when you take IELTS on computer are slightly different from the paper-based test.

  • Before attempting any part of the Listening test, you’ll have some time to read the questions
  • Before finishing the Listening test, you’ll be given two minutes to review your answers
  • Duration of the Listening test is approx. 30 – 36 minutes

Increased test sessions
